Town of Redington Shores
|
Welcome to the Town of Redington Shores, Florida. Incorporated in 1955, our Town covers 220 acres with 1.19 miles along Gulf Blvd and a total of 6.33 road miles. The Town is divided into four districts. Each district is represented by a Commissioner who is elected by district voters. Redington Shores is a proud Bicentennial Community.
From the sun's first glimmer over the Boca Ciega Bay until it slips into the Gulf of Mexico, the Town of Redington Shores beckons visitors and residents to enjoy its wide beaches, fishing, boating, pleasant parks, natural beauty, and quiet soothing relaxation.
Midway between Clearwater to the north and St. Pete Beach to the south, Redington Shores is just 30 minutes from Tampa International Airport and professional football, hockey, soccer and baseball.
In addition to the miles of white sandy beaches and spectacular sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico, Redington Shores is an accessible vacation destination offering something for everyone. You will find it all within your reach; whether it's shopping, water-sports, recreation, golfing, boating, eco-tourism, professional sports, arts, culture, attractions or theme parks.

Some 2,500 people call Redington Shores home (note that the correct spelling is not Reddington Shores), while several thousand more spend all or part of the winter here, some for a few days, others for several months. Home may be a beachfront condominium, a beach house, a cottage, an apartment or maybe a home on a quiet street.

The Town of Redington Shores is closely monitoring the developments regarding the oil spill in the Louisiana area and the northern Gulf of Mexico. The Town is working with other government agencies and Pinellas County to prepare for the threat of landfall. While we are very concerned for all of Florida’s beaches and marine life, Redington Shores is hundreds of miles from the current projected areas that may be affected. At this time all of our accommodations, restaurants and lovely beaches are open and enjoying large numbers of visitors and residents. There have been no reports of Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill oil related products beyond the Northwest Florida region as of June 25 report, per Pinellas County Emergency Management.
We will continue to update you on this site with the latest information on the oil spill as we receive it.
