SAND

Debris haulers are bringing in additional resources to tackle the sand issues on the west side of town – so Waste Connections trucks can get there for trash pickup.

Pinellas County has opened a sand drop-off site starting Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sand Key Park, 1060 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater for all county residents and businesses looking to dispose of storm-related sand from their property. After today it will be open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Bulk sand only. No storm debris, vegetative, construction or demolition debris. For other debris visit Pinellas.gov/debris to find disposal sites.

No Sandbags. Keep your clean sandbags to reuse them. If you wish to dispose of clean sandbags, spread the sand on lawns or landscape beds, do not dump them onto the beach.

TRASH

Waste Connections will return to their normal trash removal schedule —  on the streets that are fully accessible.

DEBRIS

Our contracted debris hauler is anticipated to be substantially complete (not completely clean) within 15-21 days.

The hauler is also shifting additional resources to the west side of town for sand removal to facilitate debris removal in that area. The hauler is bringing in extra equipment and personnel to complete this critical task.

PLEASE TRY TO KEEP THE STREET CLEAR OF VEHICLES SO THE DEBRIS HAULERS CAN GET THROUGH THE NEIGHBORHOODS.
