The new name, Nature Park (formerly Del Bello), reflects the town’s natural surroundings and inhabitants.
The new plants in Nature Park highlight Florida flora, intended to be sustainable and attract fauna including pollinators such as butterflies and bees. Additionally, dolphins and manatees are often spotted in the adjacent bay. Ospreys, gulls, terns and herons frequent the area.
The open areas in the park leave plenty of space for enjoying the outdoors by relaxing with a good book, having a picnic or playing catch or corn hole.
Our Town is exploring how best to use this park as a gathering place for our community. Do you have ideas for events? Please attend a Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee meeting or come to the Grand Re-Opening of Nature Park and share your ideas!
