eleeThe Indian Shores Police Department (ISPD) has been partnering with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Seven through the Enhanced Law Enforcement Engagement (ELEE) program to improve roadway safety in the Towns of Indian Shores and Redington Shores.

ISPD increased law enforcement presence on state roadways with higher crash rates to promote safe driving and reduce serious crashes.

Our partnership with FDOT through the ELEE program allows us to increase visibility, enforcement, and education, all of which help make our roadways safer for everyone,” said Chief Lee Ann Holroyd.

Program Focus Areas

ELEE efforts align with the State Highway Strategic Safety Plan and focus on:

  • Driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Speeding, aggressive, and distracted driving
  • Intersection violations
  • Lane departure crashes
  • Work zone violations
  • Move Over violations

FDOT District Seven emphasized the value of collaboration, noting that partnerships like ELEE support FDOT’s goal of reducing fatal and serious injury crashes on Florida roadways.

Launched in 2022, the ELEE program strengthens partnerships between FDOT District Seven and local law enforcement agencies to improve traffic safety on state and federal roadways throughout the district.
