Pinellas County beaches are experiencing severe weather conditions today, posing a high risk of rip currents. Rip currents are strong and fast-moving channels of water in the surf zone that swiftly pull away from the shore. Stay safe!

The Town of Redington Shores is continuing to monitor the tropical disturbance. Pinellas County Emergency Management recommends everyone review their emergency plans and supplies ahead of the weekend.Â
Sand and Sandbags will continue to be available on a first come first serve basis at Town Hall throughout the weekend. Please be reminded- 10 bags per resident. Bags are located on the back porch of Town Hall, 17425 Gulf Blvd., Redington Shores, FL 33708.
Latest storm/incident developmentsÂ
- National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Pinellas County.
- Pinellas County monitoring track of Potential Tropical Cyclone Four, forecast to approach Florida this weekend.
- Sandbag distribution locations activated for unincorporated Pinellas County residents.
- Residents are asked to check with their local municipalities for sandbag distribution if they are not an unincorporated Pinellas resident.
- Coastal flooding and localized rain flooding possible over the weekend.
County Information Center (CIC) will be open for preparedness questions

Ahead of inclement weather, the Town of Redington Shores is offering sand and sandbags at Town Hall, 17425 Gulf Blvd., Redington Shores, FL 33708.
Tips for preparing for potential flooding:
- Take photos or video of your home’s interior and your personal property. Click here for more information
- Secure your outdoor property (lawn furniture, grills, trash cans, etc) or bring it inside.
- Get your sandbags at Town Hall.
- Clear any debris from storm drains in your neighborhood.
- Tune in to your local news (cable TV, Internet, radio, etc) in order to receive updated information.
- Stay connected – Sign-up for Alert Pinellas to receive emergency alerts.
