Town Manager Margaret Carey

Margaret Carey became the Town Manager of Redington Shores on July 16, 2025. Carey came to the town of Redington Shores in November 2023 and was appointed to the position of Town Clerk. Prior to her time in Redington Shores, she managed City Clerk offices in Illinois and Arizona and has worked in municipal government for over 18 years.

Carey completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership / Nonprofit Management at Lewis University in Illinois. She is a member of the International City/County Management Association and the Florida City and County Management Association.

About the Town Manager Role

Redington Shores is governed by a Commission form of government with the Town Manager, appointed by the Board of Commissioners, serving as the administrative officer of the town. The Town Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and services of the town. The Town Manager also administers policies and legislation adopted by the Commission, directs all staff and operations of the town, and prepares and administers the annual budget.
