Redington Shores Vice Mayor Lisa Hendrickson to Serve as Guest Speaker at FIPL Campaign School & Community Leadership Training on September 28th
Florida Institute for Political Leadership – an initiative by the Florida Chamber of Commerce
REDINGTON SHORES, FL – Lisa Hendrickson, Vice Mayor for Redington Shores, will serve as an Elected Official Guest Speaker during this week’s Florida Institute for Political Leadership (FIPL) virtual Campaign School & Community Leadership Training. The school is scheduled for September 27 – 28, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET each day.
This no-cost and nonpartisan 2-day program is open to everyone and recommended for elected officials, current or future candidates, campaign workers, and anyone interested in serving in an appointed position. All campaign training schools will be conducted online.
FIPL Campaign School & Leadership Trainings provide a comprehensive briefing on emerging local and state issues, teach attendees local opportunities are available for appointed or elected positions, offer guidance on how to prepare to run for office in the future, and provide training on how to run winning campaigns.
Presenters include state and local political experts, elected officials, university professors, and community leaders.
The Florida Institute for Political Leadership (FIPL), an initiative of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, was created to assist leaders who want to improve their local communities by serving in appointed positions or in elected offices. The institute is a non-partisan program designed to recruit, train and guide people by providing leadership and training opportunities to get better candidates across the State of Florida. Organized, funded, and managed by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the institute partners with local chambers of commerce and interested organizations across Florida to host campaign schools and training programs. To date, FIPL has hosted 28 campaign schools and partnered with 193 local Chamber co-hosts and 24 community partner co-sponsors across Florida’s 67 counties. The program has trained 1,158 participants with 738 graduates, of whom 71% plan to run for office.
