The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced changes to the National Flood Insurance Program that will affect both coverage and cost. Redington Shores residents and property owners are encouraged to attend an important Flood Insurance Workshop at the Town Hall on February 16, 6:30pm to 8:00 pm.
Located on a barrier island on the gulf coast of Florida, the Town of Redington Shores routinely faces the risk of flooding caused by hurricanes and severe weather. Over 200 homes in the town were damaged by flood waters from Tropical Storm Eta. It is vitally important that residents have proper insurance coverage and take steps now to protect their homes and property from flood loss.
