DEBRIS
Debris removal is now COMPLETE. Please do not place any more debris on your front lawn. It will not be picked up. Instead, place any debris in one of the 2 dumpsters around town or make arrangements with a private hauler.
2 dumpsters are available in the community, located at:
- Longpoint Drive
- Constitution Park
Dumpsters will be removed on Friday, December 6. After that date, debris removal should be arranged with a private hauler or by calling Waste Connections to request a bulk pick up – at the resident’s expense.
**Please do not overfill dumpsters** NO CONTRACTOR DEBRIS ALLOWED! Anyone using the dumpsters illegally will be ticketed and fined.
STREET SWEEPING
Street sweeping is ongoing. We have requested they use water to reduce the dust.
SAND
Pinellas County has opened a sand drop-off FOR BULK SAND ONLY site at Sand Key Park, 1060 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater for all county residents and businesses looking to dispose of storm-related sand from their property. It will be open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. No Sandbags. Keep your clean sandbags to reuse them. FOR NON-BULK Sandbags….Â
You can reuse clean sandbags, but do not throw contaminated sandbags in your trash can or dump them on the beach. You can bring used sandbags, separated from other waste, to the Solid Waste Disposal Complex. More information at:Â pinellas.gov/sandbags
For sandbags that have come into contact with floodwaters:
- Sandbags that have been in contact with floodwaters may be contaminated by sewage, animal waste, oil, lawn chemicals or other hazardous chemicals. Wear gloves and a dust mask when handling potentially contaminated materials. Do not place used sand in or near bodies of water, playgrounds, sandboxes or other areas of direct human contact.
- Bring used sandbags, separated from other waste to the Pinellas County Solid Waste Disposal Complex, 3095 114th Ave. N., St. Petersburg. Disposal fees apply.

- Note: Disposal fees for sandbags will be waived after hurricane season, from Dec. 1, 2024, through the end of 2024.Please do not put sand or full sandbags in your regular trash or yard waste. The sand does not burn and will not convert to energy in the County’s Waste-to-Energy Facility. Do not mix sandbags with yard debris for disposal. The sand is abrasive and damages equipment used to grind yard debris into mulch.
