We are pleased to announce that the Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at the Redington Shores Town Hall are now back operational.

Moving forward, customers will have to pay for the service, which is set by NovaCharge, the service provider, as the Duke Energy grant that started this endeavor has expired.

The pricing for the charges is $.35 kwh and there is an idle fee. The idle fee is in place once the car battery is completely full. The driver has a 30-minute grace period once the car battery is full, and the parking fee would be $20 per hour after the 30-minute grace period expires.

The driver does have to accept the pricing terms to initiate the charge and when the car battery is full, they do receive a notification.
