Due to seasonally low rainfall in our region, the Southwest Florida Water Management District has issued a Phase 1 Water Shortage Order prohibiting wasteful and unnecessary water use.

We’re asking our customers to conserve water and follow local watering rules to help stretch our water supply during this time. Keep in mind that lawn watering needs are much lower this time of year.

Here are a few easy ways to save water today:

  • Water only on your assigned days and within allowed hours
  • Turn off automatic sprinklers when rain is in the forecast
  • Check for and fix broken sprinkler heads, leaks and stuck valves
  • Sweep driveways and sidewalks instead of hosing them down
