Stop the spread of dengue in our area.
Most importantly, stop mosquitoes in your yard. ❌🦟
The mosquitoes spreading Dengue Fever in our area are container breeders who are tough to handle with fogging and spraying. We’re increasing our efforts, but we need your help to stop them. Get to know these ankle biters and some steps you can take to protect yourself and your community.
- Check for standing water at least once a week. These mosquitoes breed in containers around homes and businesses, sometimes in as little as a bottle cap of water. Empty and scrub water-holding items such as plant saucers, buckets, toys, birdbaths, etc. Dump out, cover or dispose of items that could collect water.
- Protect yourself during the day, too. Don’t wait until evening to take precautions. Wear loose-fitting, long-sleeved shirts and pants, and use a bug spray with a CDC-recommended ingredient. Preventing mosquito bites helps protect individuals and limit further spread.
