Sunday, December 2nd at 5:00pm is our Annual Tree Lighting. There’s no better way to get yourself into the holiday spirit than this fun-filled event. Blessed Sacrament children’s choir is back by popular demand this year! As always, we will have Salt Rock Grill’s famous chowder that’s sure to hit the spot. And of course, the star of the show, Santa, will be there ready to hear your Christmas list. The hot cocoa will be flowing and 10 tons of snow will be blowing, so come on out!
Friday, December 7th at 2:00pm is the dedication ceremony for our new Veteran’s Memorial Park. The park is located in front of the La Vistana Condominium complex (17720 Gulf Blvd). Please join us as we gather at the newest addition to the town’s park areas and remember those who courageously served our country on National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
Saturday, December 8th is our Santa Parade. We will be leaving Town Hall around 2:00pm and heading through the streets of Redington Shores. With Santa riding atop a firetruck again this year, be sure to listen out for us as we make our way down all the streets in Redington Shores with beads, candy and treats for your dog.
Thursday, December 13th the house judges will be driving through our town looking for the best display of Christmas spirit. As a reminder, only homes decorated by their owners will be eligible for the contest (no using 1-800-HANG MY LIGHTS for an unfair advantage). Be sure to turn your lights on at dusk so the judges don’t miss all your hard work. There will be an award sign posted in the yard of the winning homes with an accompanying prize package – not to mention bragging rights for the next 12 months. Please email [email protected] or call town hall with your address if you would like to enter the contest.
Sunday, December 16th is the Christmas Boat Parade. Get your boat, grab some Christmas decorations and be part of the parade. With over $4,000 worth of prizes, you won’t want to miss out. Call town hall at 727-397-5538 for more information on how to enter.
