Mayor Erin Schoos, Town Manager Margaret Carey, and the Town of Redington Shores staff participated in the 9/11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony in Madeira Beach on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 8:45 a.m. at Patriot Park. Together, we honored the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, recognize the bravery of first responders, and reflect on 25 years of resilience and unity. The ceremony included a wreath presentation, tolling of the bells, and 2,977 American flags representing each life lost. We paused to honor the victims, remember the heroes and reflect on the strength and unity that emerged from a day that changed our nation forever.

Thank you to our first responders, veterans, elected officials and community members who helped make today’s ceremony meaningful and memorable.
