🌀Tropical Storm Isaias has been upgraded to Hurricane Isaias. Impacts to our area currently remain the same.
Town and emergency officials continue to monitor the storm, which is expected to reach the northern Gulf Coast on Friday. The storm is not expected to come near our coast, but minor impacts are possible:
✅Unsettled weather is expected throughout the weekend, featuring intervals of heavy rainfall.
✅As the storm moves west of our area during new moon cycles, tides along our west coast could rise 1 to 3 feet above normal levels. Localized flooding is possible.
✅Rough surf conditions are anticipated in the Gulf, increasing the likelihood of rip currents.
