As we embark on a new chapter in the life of our treasured town, I stand before you with a sense of both gratitude and excitement. It has been a pleasure to work alongside our prior commission, whose dedication and commitment have laid a solid foundation for our community. While change inevitably brings new opportunities, it is with great pride that our last swearing in for your newest district commissioners will be held February 14th at 6:00 pm in Town Hall. Your Commission stands ready to harness our diverse areas of expertise and together we will guide our Town into a professional, collaborative, and forward-looking future.
Reflecting on my journey to becoming your mayor, I am reminded of the invaluable conversations I had with many residents, my fellow constituents, during the two-week qualification process last December. Your desires and unwavering support for our town, with its quaint charm and natural beauty, resonated deeply with me. From the gentle waves to the nesting birds and sea turtles, Redington Shores holds a special place in our hearts, and it is our collective responsibility to safeguard its charm and beauty.
While I may hold just one vote among many, I am committed to advocating for the collective voices of our residents and championing initiatives that preserve our town’s unique character and protect its natural inhabitants. Your concerns are my concerns, and together, we will ensure that Redington Shores remains a sanctuary for its residents, small businesses, and the wildlife that call it home.
Your active participation is vital in shaping our community. That’s why we encourage you to join us for our commission and workshop meetings, held on the second and last Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM, also at the Town Hall.
These meetings offer you the opportunity to voice your concerns, share your ideas, and stay informed about the decisions that impact our town. Your presence ensures that your perspectives are heard and considered in our decision-making processes.
