As of this evening, a fish kill washed up on our beach. The concentration seems to be in the southern part of Redington Shores and into North Redington. The County has been contacted for resources and the Town will begin the cleanup process first thing in the morning. We will be providing updates along the way.
People may experience varying degrees of eye, nose, and throat irritation. When a person leaves an area with a red tide, symptoms usually go away. People with severe or chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma or chronic lung disease are cautioned to avoid areas with active red tides.
