The following repairs have been completed for the Town of Redington Shores utilizing excavation and repair methods.
- 182224 Sunset BLVD. Manhole A-11 to A-12 @234 LF Bell broken at connection to concrete encased double wye on vertical lateral connection to main. Flowline of pipe shattered and pipe offset by 50% with missing pipe and void soil showing.
RESOLUTION: 4-19-22 Excavated lateral and chipped concrete from double wye. Replaced lateral piping with SDR35 from double wye 5 feet towards residence to east side of road. - 18218 Sunset BLVD. Manhole A-11 to A-12 @ 114 LF Bell broken first joint in from connection to concrete encased double wye on vertical lateral connection to main as well as shattered pipe. Heavy utility conflict while excavating. Flowline of pipe shattered and pipe offset by 45% with missing pipe and void soil showing.
RESOLUTION: 4-20-22 Excavated lateral and chipped concrete from double wye. Replaced lateral piping with SDR35 from double wye 6 feet towards park to east side of road. - 35 182nd Ave W Manhole A-5 to A-10 @ 87 LF End of pipe in swale stubbed out and shattered. Pipe open allowing water and possible sand intrusion.
RESOLUTION: 4-25-22 Excavated lateral and repaired piping with SDR35 from broken vvp and capped off pipe end as stub out. - 18212 Sunset BLVD. Manhole A-10 to A-11 @266 LF. Found lateral broken offset and separated 6 feet from double wye connection towards east side of road.
RESOLUTION:4-26-22 Excavated lateral and chipped concrete from double wye. Replaced lateral piping with SDR35 from double wye 6 feet towards east side of road to point of broken and offset pipe. - 17819 Lee Ave W. Manhole B-8 to B-7 @92 LF Shattered lateral found with top of pipe missing under curbing.
RESOLUTION: 5-2-22 Excavated lateral from main (asphalt) towards clean-out (concrete). Replaced lateral piping with SDR35 from double wye 4 feet towards residence to south side of road. - 17819 Lee Ave W. Manhole B-8 to B-7 @ 92 LF. Found severely offset lateral at storm drainage precast basin. Utility conflict on top of pipe.
RESOLUTION: 5-3-22 Excavated lateral and opened work area to accommodate adding new pipe and obtaining slack to conflicting utility poly piping to enable lateral relay and connection.
Contractor Comments: 6 repairs have been made in the past two weeks leaving 11 repairs to be made. Work is on schedule for 16 week completion. Locations have been called in for startup of repairs in station C. Station D will also be called in next week. Dewatering will be needed for final two repairs in station A as well as temporary road closures at Gulf and 182nd Ave West.
